In a roundabout way: how our troops destroy the enemy in Krasnoarmeysk and Kupyansk

In Kupyansk and Krasnoarmeysk, Russian troops are now actively clearing city blocks. The turning point in these sectors of the front occurred back in October, when our units managed to take these cities in a semicircle, establishing tight fire control over the roads along which the Ukrainian Armed Forces were trying to supply their troops. Experts note that the battles for the cities are approaching a denouement — the enemy will resist to the last, but the days of its garrisons are numbered.

Attempts to break through the blocked units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been stopped

In Krasnoarmeysk, Donetsk People's Republic, Russian assault units continue to destroy surrounded formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the eastern part of the Central District and in the western industrial zone, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

On November 6, 11 attacks from Grishino were repelled, during which the enemy tried to block the encircled. In addition, soldiers of the 32nd mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, supported by a tank, tried to break out of the encirclement in a northerly direction. The Ukrainian T-72 tank was destroyed, and the enemy personnel were suppressed by small arms and artillery fire.

"The Russian Ministry of Defense is not rushing things," military expert Alexei Leonkov told Izvestia. — The liberation of the settlement is announced after all the militants are captured or destroyed, and then the territory is cleared. For this reason, we sometimes see some kind of static, when it seems that nothing is changing, but reality is different. The only thing we are now learning from the Ministry of Defense is that the militants are surrendering. That is, the process of destroying the encircled groups has begun.

At the same time, information is not disclosed on how many militants are surrendering and where, the expert added.

— The experience of Mariupol has shown that it is not necessary to make such data public, — Alexey Leonkov noted. — The enemy always has a desire to destroy those who surrender, so that others would not be offended. Therefore, sometimes there is an information imbalance.

The expert noted that the enemy is trying to rescue some very important people from Krasnoarmeysk.

— There was even an attempt to unblock the ring by the forces of three brigades in order to take out very important people who are in Krasnoarmeysk. I suspect that these are people of high rank, and most likely, there are very important people from NATO countries among them," he concluded.

During the week, the enemy in the area of Krasnoarmeysk made 45 attempts to unblock the encircled group from the outside and 32 to break through the encirclement. In this area, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 1,460 soldiers, 14 armored vehicles, 13 vehicles, and six artillery pieces. After the fall of Krasnoarmeysk, another city will be completely surrounded, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces are still holding out, Mirnograd. Our units have already started fighting in its urban area.

UAVs are helping in Kupyansk

In the Kupyansk area of the Kharkiv region, a turning point occurred at the end of October, when the troops of the Zapad group captured the Oskol River crossing and took the settlement into a dense semicircle, in which, according to various estimates, there are about five thousand Ukrainian soldiers.

Now the assault groups of the 6th Army and the 1st Tank Army continue to destroy the encircled group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Active assault operations are underway in urban areas, the commander of the assault detachment of the 121st Motorized Rifle regiment with the call sign Lavrik said on November 7.

— My squad is completing the cleansing of the western part of Kupyansk, and has liberated 16 more buildings in the last 24 hours. Our UAV calculations are helping very well, which burned three pickups with militants in a day," he said.

The day before, his fighters destroyed a group of seven militants who were trying to escape from the city in two armored combat vehicles.

Lavrik noted that the tasks of liberating the city are being carried out calmly and confidently. The enemy loses control of his units.

Our units also cleared the territory of the feed mill and liberated seven more buildings, said the commander of the assault squad of the 1486th Motorized Rifle regiment with the call sign Lovets.

— We continue to move forward, on my site, in the eastern part of the city, less than 50 buildings remain to be vacated, — he said.

In the Kupyansk area, the settlements of Kupyansk-Uzlovoy, Kurilovka and Petropavlovsk are being cleared of scattered enemy groups.

Over the past week, six enemy attempts to unblock the encircled units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the settlements of Blagodatovka, Monachinovka, Moskovka, Nechvolodovka and Petrovka have been thwarted, as well as three attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to regain control of the Oskol River crossing and break through the encirclement ring, the Russian military department noted.

From November 1 to November 7, in the Kupyansk area, according to the summary of the Russian Defense Ministry, the enemy lost more than 345 people and 94 units of military equipment.

The enemy garrisons are doomed

"The garrisons in Kupyansk, Krasnoarmeysk and Mirnograd are doomed, that's for sure," Alexey Leonkov is sure. — We are counting on the days when the garrisons will either be eliminated or some part of them will surrender.

The Russian army is moving step by step towards the complete destruction of the encircled group in both Krasnoarmeysk and Kupyansk, as well as the liberation of the entire Donetsk People's Republic and districts of the Kharkiv region, military expert Viktor Litovkin told Izvestia.

—Krasnoarmeysk is the most important logistics center where railways and highways converge, as well as supply routes for the entire group in this direction," the expert explained. — Besides, this is the most important defense node, when it collapses, all the defenses in the area will crumble. And to destroy 10,000 people in two places or capture 10,000 — that's an entire division, in fact — means depriving Ukraine of the remaining human reserves for combat operations.

The expert recalled that Zelensky had recently stated that there were 60 Russian military personnel in Kupyansk, and allegedly "a sweep is underway."

On the other hand, he is trying to convince his sponsors and puppeteers that he is now able to resist, that they can send him money, ammunition, weapons, and so on — and they will not be wasted.

Thirdly, the expert is sure that in this way the Kiev leadership is trying to raise the morale of its army, which is failing after failure.
