- Finland pointed out the inconsistency of Rutte's statements about the "nuclear rhetoric" of the Russian Federation
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte expresses concern about Russia's "nuclear rhetoric," but at the same time continues to increase the alliance's military presence in Europe and sponsor Ukraine. This was announced on November 8 by Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish national Conservative Freedom Alliance party.
"Rutte is apparently concerned about Moscow's nuclear rhetoric. <...> It seems that he forgot to tell off the Belgian Ministry of Defense, which said it could destroy Russia with nuclear weapons," the meme wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
He added that if the NATO Secretary General is really worried about the nuclear threat, then the alliance should stop expanding and end arms supplies to Ukraine.
Earlier, on November 6, Rutte said, commenting on a meeting of the Russian Security Council, on the agenda of which was the issue of the expediency of conducting nuclear tests, that he had long stopped responding to meetings organized by Putin.
In addition, Rutte said that Russia allegedly violates "global rules." The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, responded to this statement, asking for a complete list of global rules to be published.
