In Moscow, at the berth of the Royal Yacht Club, Evgeny Ivanov, a veteran of the special military operation (SVO) and athlete of the Russian Federation of Extreme Power Sports, set a world record for towing a yacht weighing more than 50 tons without lower limbs by towing a boat along a rope with only his hands at 6 m 43 cm in 1 minute 25 seconds.

"Yevgeny Ivanov, as a member of the SVO, is a hero of our time, who does not look for easy ways to show the strength of the spirit and the will of our people! Towing any kind of watercraft is not an easy task even for experienced athletes, not to mention that Evgeny tore off and pulled the yacht along the rope with only his hands!" said Sergey Aghajanyan, Deputy President of the Russian Federation of Extreme Power Sports, world record holder.

Aghajanyan, who became the athlete's mentor, is also a multiple world record holder in towing multi-ton equipment and power numbers from Lyubertsy, known as the "Russian Hulk", helped in the preparation of the event, pointed out what Ivanov needed to pay attention to during the world record attempt.

Vasily Grishchenko, President of the International Union of Strongmen and Extreme Power Athletes, registered the world record for yacht towing.

According to Aghajanyan, the most difficult thing in achieving the record was the very breakdown of the yacht, which had resistance to the water surface while moving.
