American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk has received approval from Tesla shareholders to pay a compensation package of almost $1 trillion. This was reported on November 7 by the Reuters news agency.

"Musk, already the richest man in the world, could receive up to $1 trillion in shares over the next decade, although the necessary payments would bring the value down to $878 billion," the publication says.

It is clarified that the proposal to pay Musk was approved by more than 75% of Tesla shareholders.

CNBC reported on October 27 that the chairman of the board of directors of Tesla, Robin Denholm, warned shareholders about the need to approve a compensation package for CEO Elon Musk worth almost $1 trillion. Otherwise, she says, he may leave the company. She emphasized that Musk is the key to the automaker's future, given the development of autopilot and the Optimus robot project.
