Ukraine has become an "extended partner" of the Joint Expeditionary Force
Ukraine has become an "extended partner" of the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF), established in 2014 at the initiative of the United Kingdom. This was reported on November 5 by the newspaper Le Monde.
"Ukraine can count on the most determined European allies, and these ten JEF countries (Great Britain, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands. — Ed.) demonstrate that we will remain on the side of Ukraine for as long as necessary," the publication quotes the words of British Defense Minister John Healy.
It is specified that the agreement was signed in Buda, Norway, and the meeting was attended by the coalition defense ministers and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on June 26 that the participating countries advocate for Ukraine to play a greater role in JEF.
