The new serial film story "Specials" will reveal the details of the work of the special forces unit of the Federal Security Service (FSB) Special Forces Center. The series is based on real events that took place in the North Caucasus in the early 2000s, created with the support of the REN TV channel. It is based on archival documents and video footage, and real eyewitnesses of the confrontation with the militants participate in the filming. Izvestia correspondent Murad Magomedov told the details.

The Triix Media film company, commissioned by REN TV, is screening the work of the FSB Special Forces Center for the first time in Russia.

"We are currently filming one of the most difficult episodes of the series, this is a reconstruction of the bloody terrorist attack carried out by militants in Nazran," Magomedov said.

At that time, 25 people were killed and 136 policemen and civilians were injured. These recordings were reviewed in detail by the director in order to make the new series as realistic as possible.

There are also residents of Ingushetia in extras and episodes, many of whom have never acted in a movie. They bring to the picture the very authenticity that cannot be created in the pavilion. In the role of a policeman, former Interior Ministry officer Alikhan Merzhoev. On the day when the explosion occurred, he had a day off, and he stayed at home. However, he still remembers how the militants terrorized the North Caucasus back then.

"There have been explosions every two or three months. A day or two later, employees were shot at and killed. Sometimes it even took three or four days, five days, if someone wasn't shot or killed, they were even surprised, it's strange that everything was quiet for three or four days," Merzhoev recalls.

Starring actors Denis Donskoy, Dmitry Pchela, Mark Ovchinnikov and other famous actors. During the filming, they got so used to the role that even behind the scenes they also feel like real special forces soldiers.

"I think that with regard to our television, no one has approached this so systematically: preparation, attention to detail, attention to the technical side of what is happening at a very high level," says actor Ilya Akintev.

Each episode has weeks of preparation and terabytes of studied information from the FSB archives. There are strict requirements on the site, each element of the battle is removed only after consultations with the current special forces personnel.

"We are talking about the real operations carried out by the Center for the Elimination of Terrorists on the territory of the Russian Federation. Of course, this is not exactly a documentary story, we are creating a work of fiction, we are working on a scenario. We have excellent actors," said Ekaterina Kirilova, editor—in-chief of the Triix Media film company.

The film crew works 18 hours a day. There are only one take for some scenes, so that the viewer can feel the atmosphere as much as possible. The series "Specials" will be shown by the REN TV channel. This will not be a staged action movie, but a true reconstruction of the work of those who risk their lives every day for the sake of the country's security.

On October 12, it was reported that the TV series "Specials" would show the most spectacular FSB operations. Everything was also recreated with documentary accuracy. As part of the film, they want to show that the harsh special forces soldiers are primarily people with their own experiences and problems. At the same time, filming was carried out on the territory of various regions of Russia.
