Serbian police have detained a man who provoked riots in front of the National Assembly building in Belgrade. This was reported on November 3 in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

According to the agency, the detainee is a 35—year-old citizen who climbed over the fence during an unauthorized rally and "repeatedly violated public order with obscene gestures.

"Police officers took the man to the office premises, and an appropriate charge of misconduct will be filed against him," the ministry said.

Law enforcement officers continue to identify and detain the remaining participants in the incidents who attacked the police and attended the rally in Pioneer Park.

Earlier, on November 2, mass protests took place in the center of Belgrade. A crowd gathered outside the parliament building, expressing dissatisfaction with the decision of the authorities, who forbade the female activist to set up a tent and go on a hunger strike. As a result of the clashes, one of the policemen suffered a leg injury.
