Guards Junior Sergeant Alexei Tokarev was leading an evacuation group when the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) opened artillery fire. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the special military operation zone on Monday, November 3.

Tokarev quickly got his bearings in the situation and began to help the victims, whom the evacuation team had to take to a safe place for medical treatment. He carried five comrades who had received shrapnel wounds out of the fire, brought them to a safe place and provided further medical assistance.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the exceptional courage and endurance of Corporal Timofey Kovrigin, who, as part of an assault group, carried out the task of storming a fortified stronghold.

Kovrigin, in the midst of the battle, decided to act outside the box and penetrated inside the stronghold, forcing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to switch to close combat. The corporal personally destroyed two opponents using small arms and a grenade. As a result, it was possible to occupy key positions of the stronghold, which made it possible to oust all remaining enemies from the territory of the stronghold and gain a foothold in new positions.
