Since February 2025, almost 15,000 migrants have returned to Venezuela from the United States. This was announced on October 15 by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

"Since February 2025, 14,947 Venezuelan migrants have arrived on 77 flights from the United States. We released them from American prisons as part of the "Homecoming" plan,"the Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) TV channel quoted him as saying.

The politician stressed the Government's commitment to the safe return of every migrant to their home country. He also drew attention to cases of inappropriate treatment of Venezuelan migrants abroad.

On October 4, the US Supreme Court allowed US President Donald Trump to revoke the Temporary Protection Status (TPS) for 300,000 Venezuelans. It is noted that these measures were taken to speed up the process of deportation of immigrants from the United States. The case is related to the decision of the US Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristy Noem, to terminate the TPS.
