Ukraine's provocations with Russian UAVs are part of the escalation of Russophobia, the demonization of the country and the formation of an imaginary threat to exacerbate conflict situations with the Russian side. Military expert Alexander Stepanov told Izvestia about this on September 27.

"This is part of a systemic provocation, the incitement of Russophobia, the demonization of the Russian Federation and the formation of an imaginary threat. And what is this done for? In order to justify the militarization of the Russian border area, the saturation of the countries of the eastern flank of NATO with various types and systems of offensive weapons," he believes.

Stepanov noted that the Kiev regime is committing provocative actions with drones for "the future deployment of a multinational contingent on the territory of Ukraine." According to the expert, by deceiving with drones, Kiev seeks to ensure the presence of NATO forces on the "remnants" of Ukraine and the deterioration of relations between Russia and the Northern Alliance.

He clarified that Russian drones, as part of Ukraine's initiative, can be forcibly intercepted from the battlefield while maintaining the integrity of the equipment. At the same time, such drones will be equipped with explosive elements with the formation of a false evidence base about the origin of the UAV.

The military expert added that the words of the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on this topic are confirmed by her appeal to official Western sources.

Warsaw's reaction to the Defense Ministry's proposal to hold consultations did not follow, Peskov announced a pause in negotiations with Kiev.

Earlier in the day, Gunnar Lindemann, a member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, said that Ukraine was staging provocations by intercepting Russian drones and redirecting them to the territory of NATO countries. According to him, these actions represent a dangerous escalation, which is connected with Kiev's attempt to start a third world war.

The day before, Zakharova said, with reference to Hungarian articles, that the Kiev regime intends to continue provocations violating the air borders of NATO countries, passing off drones launched from the territory of Ukraine as Russian. Thus, Kiev is trying to gain a foothold in international positions, while dragging the European Union into the conflict.
