The crossing of Poland's borders by allegedly Russian drones is nothing more than a staging. French political analyst Emmanuel Leroy told Izvestia about this on September 25.

"I am almost certain that this is a strategy aimed at blaming Russia for these air incursions, whereas it is very likely a staging designed to hold Moscow responsible for the drones," Leroy said.

The political scientist suggested that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) could assemble Russian drones on their territory, re-equip them and send them to Poland or other neighboring countries.

"The Europeans and Ukraine need new provocations, they need a reason to blame Russia. <...> And from this point of view, it's more about staging and provocation than anything else," concluded Leroy.

On September 10, the Operational Command of the branches of the Polish Armed Forces (RFA) reported on the defeat of several drones by the Polish military that violated the airspace of the state. Later, Reuters, citing sources in NATO, said that the alliance did not regard the incident with the drone in Poland as an attack.

In turn, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Poland's baseless accusations against Russia against the background of the drone incident are part of the anti-Russian rhetoric familiar to Europe.
