Zelensky announced Ukraine's readiness to export weapons
Ukraine will soon begin exporting weapons and will introduce three new platforms for foreign trade within two weeks. This was announced on September 19 by President Vladimir Zelensky.
"Within two weeks, the concept of three new export platforms will be presented. The first platform for exporting and interacting with the United States, the second platform is our European partners, and the third area is other partners in the world who are also interested in Ukrainian weapons and from whom Ukraine has received some support," RBC-Ukraine quoted him as saying.
According to the president, some types of modern weapons are produced in the country in a much larger volume than is required on the battlefield. For example, Ukraine has a surplus of naval drones, as well as anti-tank weapons, Zelensky said.
It is noted that the export of weapons will help to compensate for the budget deficit, and with the funds received, the country will increase the production of drones for the front.
Earlier in the day, it became known that Western countries would like to limit themselves to investing billions of dollars in the development of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex (MIC) as an alternative to providing Kiev with guarantees of joining the NATO military bloc. Some countries, including Denmark, Canada, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, will invest $1.5 billion in the production of artillery, missiles, attack drones and anti-tank systems in Ukraine.
