An Indian actress and a Chinese showman have become a pair of presenters on Intervision

Indian actress Stephie Patel and Chinese showman Lay (Real name Meng Lei) became the international pair of presenters at the Intervision competition. This was reported to Izvestia on September 16.

Lei is a popular presenter from China who has worked for Jilin Satellite TV and Dragon TV. He was also a presenter at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.

"It is a great honor to become the host of Intervision. Since the beginning of my career, I have been working on radio, conducting bilingual interviews with prominent musicians, artists and singers from all over the world. For this reason, I am sincerely grateful for the trust. In Moscow, I hope to bring all my passion for music and embody the image of a cultural ambassador," Lay shared.

He noted that he had been preparing for the role of presenter with the help of the works of Alexander Pushkin and stated that this "further fueled my desire to personally get to know Moscow."

Stephie Patel, winner of the Miss Teen International title (2016) and finalist of the Femina Miss India national competition (2018), began her film career with her debut in the Bollywood film Ninnu Thalachi.

"It is a great honor for me to be the host of the Intervision International Music Competition. <...> I am sure that this journey will be filled with meaningful contacts, vivid and unforgettable performances, as well as new opportunities to strengthen cultural ties between the countries," said Patel.

In 2025, 23 countries will participate in the competition, including the BRICS, CIS, Latin America, the Middle East, and the United States.

Performers from more than 20 countries will compete.

The final of Intervision will be held in Moscow on September 20 at the Live Arena. Honored Artist of Russia SHAMAN (real name Yaroslav Dronov) will perform from the Russian Federation with the musical composition "Straight to the Heart" by Maxim Fadeev. Alexander Ovechkin, a Russian hockey player and captain of the Washington Capitals NHL club, has been announced as the cultural ambassador of Intervision 2025.

The winner of the Intervision International Music Competition will receive a cash prize of 30 million rubles.
