On September 12, the heads of the Eurotroika foreign ministries (France, Germany and the United Kingdom) condemned the strikes by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on the Qatari capital of Doha and noted that these actions pose a threat to exacerbate the situation in the region.

"We, the Foreign Ministers of France, Germany and the United Kingdom, condemn the Israeli strikes in Doha on September 9, which violate Qatar's sovereignty and risk further escalation in the region," the German Foreign Ministry said in a press release posted on its website.

In addition, according to the foreign ministers, such actions by Israel threaten the agreement reached on Gaza. The Ministers also expressed solidarity with Qatar, and stressed that they fully support Doha in mediating between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas.

A Hamas negotiating delegation that arrived in the Qatari capital of Doha to discuss a plan proposed by the United States for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip was attacked on September 9. On the same day, White House press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt announced attempts by US President Donald Trump to warn Qatar about the impending strikes, which were undertaken too late.

On the same day, United Nations Secretary-General Anthony Guterres condemned the Israeli strikes on Qatar, calling them a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of this State.
