90 polling stations in Russia have been named after participants in the special military operation (SVO) on the eve of the Single Voting Day (EDG). This was announced on September 12 by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, during a briefing on the start of voting.

"We already have more than a thousand named polling stations in Russia, named after great scientists, inventors, writers, heroes, those who glorified their region, their region, their village. And 90 of them are already named after the participants of the special military operation," she said.

According to Pamfilova, a new automated system "Elections" was also launched in the country, designed to automate electoral activities from planning the preparation of the event to processing the results.

On a single voting day, 81 regions will hold elections at various levels, from local councils to heads of subjects. In the vast majority of regions, voting will take three days.

On the eve of the CEC of Russia, an information center began operating, where all data on the course of elections in the regions will be streamed online. Pamfilova clarified that special attention will be paid to the security of the elections.
