Former French Ambassador to the United States Gerard Haro said that the era of Western dominance is over, and Europe is "clinging to illusions" and is not ready for a new rigid world order. He told Le Point magazine about this on August 24.

"We are experiencing the end of the era of Western domination," Aro writes. "The American gendarme no longer wants to take on the role of leader, and the world that will replace it will not be a Western one."

According to him, European states have proved unable to understand the coming changes and continue to live in the illusion of the post-war order. He paid special attention to the armed conflict in Ukraine, calling the reaction of the European elites to it superficial.

Earlier, on August 20, it was reported that Paris and London would experience difficulties in the event of a potential deployment of troops to Ukraine due to the weakness of the political leadership. It is noted that the countries are also facing political and economic difficulties, which further increases skepticism about the possible deployment of troops to Ukraine.
