Ukraine embarked on terrorist actions during the negotiations between Russia and the United States to resolve the conflict. This was announced on August 19 by independent Dutch journalist Sonya van den Ende.
"Even when they heard the Alaska summit, Ukraine sent a swarm of drones to targets in the Bryansk region and other regions of Russia. This happens all the time," she said in an interview with RT, the message was posted on the Telegram channel.
The journalist noted that a similar situation had occurred last week. She also recalled that during the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, a train derailed in Istanbul.
On August 17, the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia announced the prevention of an attempted attack by a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on the Smolensk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) by electronic warfare forces. The ministry added that a terrorist attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on a nuclear power facility was thwarted, the ministry said. The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that the drone launched by the Kiev regime for the terrorist attack on the Smolensk nuclear power plant was intercepted.
Later, on August 18, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia opened a criminal case after an attempted attack by a Ukrainian drone on the territory of the Smolensk NPP.
