Seven countries nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize
The governments of seven countries supported the candidacy of US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, according to a statement from the White House.
"President Donald Trump is a president [seeking] peace," the White House said in a message on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
Trump's candidacy was supported by Armenian Prime Ministers Nikol Pashinyan, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Cambodian President Hun Manet, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Gabonese President Brice Oligui Nguema, as well as the Government of Pakistan and Rwandan Foreign Minister Olivier Nduhirehe.
Earlier, on July 8, American political scientist Malek Dudakov did not rate Trump's chances of winning the Nobel Prize highly. He expressed the opinion that the US president's award would depend on his successful policy on the Ukrainian issue and in the Middle East.
