A girl died in the Altai Territory due to a ricocheting bullet from an air rifle.
The investigation opened a criminal case into the death of an 11-year-old girl in the village of Staroglushenka due to a ricocheting bullet from an air rifle. This was announced on August 13 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Altai Territory.
"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence")," the Telegram channel says.
It is specified that on the evening of August 12, 2025, in the village of Staroglushenka, a 13-year-old boy fired an air rifle at a fence. The projectile ricocheted into the neck of an 11-year-old girl who was nearby. As a result, the minor died in an ambulance from her injury.
At the moment, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
Earlier, on July 15, a 17-year-old teenager inadvertently fired an air rifle at a child. It was clarified that the young man hit the shoulder of the right hand of a 12-year-old boy nearby. Then the minor was hospitalized and taken to the surgical department, where he received medical care.
