"Irina Zhdankina, Deputy Mayor of Khimki near Moscow, and Yevgenia Yanchenko, head of the investment department, have been detained," the publication says.
It is reported that a criminal case has been opened against Zhdankina and Yanchenko for bribery. Presumably, both officials participated in a corruption scheme organized by the former deputy head of the administration of Khimki, Nikolai Minaev.
On June 27, Nikolai Minaev was accused of accepting a bribe worth about 6 million rubles. According to the investigation, in the period from March to June of this year, the man received money from the directors of several companies for concluding municipal contracts. A criminal case has been opened against the defendant.
