An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 occurred on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. This was announced on July 24 on the website of the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
It is noted that the seismic event occurred 117 km from the city of Palopo in the province of South Sulawesi, which has a population of 129 thousand people. The earthquake was located at a depth of 43 km.
On July 23, EMSC reported a magnitude 5.5 earthquake in Indonesia. It occurred 155 km from the city of Amahai on the island of Seram.
