- In the United States, the impact of Trump's tax law on the country's budget deficit was assessed
The bill, signed by US President Donald Trump, will increase the country's budget deficit by $3.4 trillion until 2034. The corresponding statement was published on July 21 on the website of the United States Congressional Budget Office.
According to the Politico newspaper, the innovations will lead to the deprivation of 10 million people of health insurance.
In addition, the project will allow the US government to save $1 trillion by reducing healthcare costs. At the same time, the funds for the implementation of the plans will exceed the savings, the newspaper emphasizes.
"The office predicts that reducing federal spending on agriculture and revising the food aid program will save $120 billion over the next decade," the article added.
Earlier, on July 4, Trump signed the White House's "big and wonderful" tax and spending cuts bill. It was clarified that the program is aimed at reducing taxes and increasing spending on national security. Republicans also proposed reducing funding for the Medicaid program, which provides health insurance for the poor and people with disabilities.
On July 3, the law was passed by the House of Representatives of the U.S. Congress. At that time, 218 congressmen supported the initiative, while 214 voted against it.
