The defendants in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus asked to stop their criminal prosecution.

Four defendants in the case of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert Hall have asked the court to stop their criminal prosecution. This was reported on July 21 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the Second Western District Military Court.

The request was made by Zubaydullo Ismoilov, Dzhabrail Aushev, Dzhumakhon Kurbonov and Isroil Islomov (all included in the list of terrorists and extremists).

In addition, three other defendants — brothers Dilovar and Aminchon Islomov and their father (listed as terrorists and extremists) — asked for a jury trial.

On July 21, a preliminary hearing on the terrorist attack case is being held in Moscow behind closed doors, and the police have assessed the court's territory. As one of the participants in the trial told Izvestia, the victims were placed in the halls with the broadcast of the meeting.

On July 8, it was reported that the case materials had been submitted to the court. The investigation established that the crime was planned and committed in the interests of the current leadership of Ukraine in order to destabilize the political situation in our country.

The terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall took place on March 22, 2024. Terrorists in camouflage broke into the building, they started shooting and set fire to the concert hall. As a result of the attack, 149 people were killed and 609 injured.

The Investigative Committee of Russia reported that the terrorists who carried out the attack had to cross the border of Russia and Ukraine after the crime, come to Kiev and receive the promised reward. During the interrogations, the defendants confirmed that their actions were supervised by a man through voice messages in the Telegram messenger.
