A serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) called the delivery of ten interceptor missiles for the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) by the United States a "stupid joke." This was reported on July 9 by The Times newspaper.
As the newspaper noted, the Ukrainian Armed Forces relied on supplies from the United States to intercept Russian hypersonic and ballistic missiles.
"If they really send us ten, it will just be a stupid joke. This is not enough even for one battle," said a senior officer of the Ukrainian Air Force.
Meanwhile, as the newspaper noted, the United States has exhausted its own reserves, protecting Israel in the conflict with Iran.
Earlier, on July 8, US President Donald Trump announced the transfer of defensive weapons to Ukraine. Axios reported that Trump promised Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to send ten Patriot interceptor missiles.
