On July 8, the State Duma of the Russian Federation hosted a working meeting of the Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications "Pro-family content: values, education, security." One of the topics of the meeting was the role of media and social networks in promoting a positive family image and educating young people.

"The connection between content and demographics is obvious, values shape reality. Research shows that positive family images in the media increase the orientation of young people towards traditional values," said Marina Kim, First Deputy Chairman of the committee.

She noted that the country is currently facing an acute demographic challenge.

Sofia Malyavina, Director General of ANO National Priorities, in turn, stressed that today's youth do not respond to pressure. She noted that for this reason, the government should be very careful and considerate of the audience and the content produced. According to Malyavina, the family remains a symbol of sustainability, as demonstrated by the country's history and social surveys.

"It is enough to look at Russian advertising blocks today, and we will see fathers, children, large families, caring for parents, and caring for grandparents, and this is in commercial advertising, where it is not dictated by anything other than the request of society, the request of consumers, the request of Actually, the state," added Valentin Smolyakov, Executive Director of the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia.

On May 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin called family values immutable for Russians. He stressed that the family with children, their interests and well-being are at the center of all decisions and projects related to national development.
