Russian Emergencies Minister Kurenkov arrives in Baku for an international meeting on civil defense

The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, Alexander Kurenkov, arrived in Baku to participate in a meeting of the International Civil Defense Organization (IHO). This was reported on July 7 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

"He (Kurenkov) is in Baku.— Ed.) will take part in a meeting of the executive council and the General Assembly of the International Civil Defense Organization (IHO)," the agency's Telegram channel says.

They noted that the election of the secretary General of this organization will take place at the meeting. In addition, Kurenkov will hold bilateral meetings with representatives of a number of foreign countries.

The day before, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Rio de Janeiro to attend the BRICS summit.
