The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a rocket together with the Progress MS-31 cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS) will take place on the night of Friday, July 4. This was reported by the Roscosmos State Corporation.

The rocket will launch at 22:32 Moscow time at the Baikonur cosmodrome. After about nine minutes, the spacecraft will separate from the third stage of the rocket, and after 50 hours it will approach the ISS. It is expected that the space "truck" will dock with the Poisk module on the night of July 6, at about 00:28 Moscow time, TASS said.

Roscosmos added that the cargo ship will deliver more than 2.6 thousand kg of cargo to the ISS, including clothing, food, equipment, hygiene products, medicines, refueling fuel, drinking water and nitrogen.

On July 1, the Progress MS-29 spacecraft undocked from the ISS. It was specified that the unburned elements of its structure would fall in the non-navigable area of the South Pacific Ocean. On the same day, the state corporation announced the installation of the Progress MS-31 for launch.
