Israel reported 28 dead and over 1,400 injured after Iran attacks

During the escalation of the conflict, 28 people were killed in Israel as a result of Iranian shelling, and more than 1,400 more were injured, Dmitry Gendelman, an adviser in the office of the Israeli Prime Minister, said on June 24.

"Since the beginning of the operation <...> losses: 28 dead, 1,472 people injured," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to him, 15 victims are in serious condition, 58 people are in moderate condition. The remaining 1,399 civilians were slightly injured.

It is specified that since June 13, Iran has launched about 550 rockets and over 1,000 drones at Israel. Gendelman added that during this time, the Israeli tax Administration received 38.7 thousand applications for damages.

Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump announced the entry into force of the truce between Iran and Israel. According to him, a "complete and total ceasefire" will first be announced for 12 hours, then the conflict will be considered over.

Later, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recorded missile launches from Iran. It was clarified that several hours after the missile hit Beersheba, additional launches from Iran were recorded in the northern region. Then Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced that he had instructed the IDF to launch retaliatory strikes against Tehran.
