The price of Brent crude futures on the London ICE exchange exceeded $81 per barrel for the first time since January 2025 amid US strikes on Iran. This was reported by Bloomberg on June 22.

So, starting at 01:00 Moscow time, the price of Brent began to increase sharply, reaching a maximum by 01:01 Moscow time: Brent crude futures at that moment rose by 5.7% to $ 81.40, for the first time since January 20.

It is clarified that this is due to fears of disruptions in the supply of minerals and energy resources from the Middle East.

Bloomberg reported on June 16 that oil from the Middle East is "under the gun" and may be exported intermittently due to the growing Iranian-Israeli conflict.
