Car air conditioner maintenance has increased in price by 21% in 2025

In 2025, the demand for car climate control services started earlier than usual. The active season of work on air conditioners has already started in most federal districts of Russia.: Volga, Siberian, Ural, Central and Far Eastern regions. This follows from the data of the international network of FIT SERVICE car services, which was reviewed by Izvestia on June 20.

In April, there were 40% more visits to air conditioners than last year, and in May — by 9%. In the first week of June, the excitement decreased and car arrivals were recorded by 15% less than in the same period last year. However, the weekly number of visits for the "air conditioner" service increases from April to June. That is, according to the experts of the network, demand has not yet reached peak values.

"Spring in our country was early and warm, so we noticed a sharp increase in the number of air conditioning arrivals in April. Previously, the need for coolness and comfort inside the car interior arose only in the first summer months, but this year it is much earlier," said Tatiana Ovchinnikova, director of the company.

The first week of summer, she said, showed a decrease compared to last year, but the number of visits shows that there is a steady increase in demand. We expect that the need for repair and maintenance of air conditioners will remain at a high level in the summer. The total number of these seasonal repairs may exceed last year's figures by 10-15%

During the two spring months (April and May), the number of different services used by car owners for air conditioning maintenance increased by 14% year-on-year. For example, along with refueling the air conditioner, drivers disinfected the air conditioning system and interior, cleaned the air conditioner condenser and evaporator.

The rating of the most popular air conditioning services this spring includes diagnostics of the air conditioning system, refueling the air conditioner, removing and installing the air conditioner condenser, disinfecting the air conditioning system and removing odors, as well as removing and installing the air conditioner compressor.

The largest dynamics were in the services of "leak detection" (+49%) and "disinfection of the air conditioning system and interior" (+42%).

According to the results of two months (April-May 2025), the average receipt for order orders with the "air conditioner" service is 16,893 rubles. This is 21% higher than last year's figure. This indicator includes any other services that car owners perform along with air conditioning work.

"Car owners are increasingly choosing comprehensive services. When they visit a car repair shop, they try to close all their questions about the car as much as possible, so the number of services in average receipts has increased," Ovchinnikova noted.

Earlier, on May 30, car expert Yulia Trushkova said that in the summer heat it is best to park the car on smooth asphalt or a concrete slab. If you leave the car on grass, earth, and loose soil, it can harm it.
