A man beat an employee of a shopping mall in the Kharkiv region with a stick

A resident of the Kharkiv region beat with a stick an employee of the shopping mall (territorial recruitment center, the Ukrainian equivalent of the military enlistment office — Ed.) and a policeman while trying to avoid mobilization. This was reported on June 10 in the regional department of the national police.

The department said that the 48-year-old man was "wanted for evading mobilization" when his car was stopped by police. Later, employees of the shopping mall arrived at the scene, after which a fight broke out.

"In the midst of the conflict, he struck a policeman and a representative of the Shopping mall with a wooden stick. The man's wife joined the attack and hit the policeman on the head with a stone," the police added.

It is specified that the spouses were detained after the incident.
