The average CTP payment in January-April 2025 increased by 17.4% compared to the same period last year — from 92.2 thousand to 108.2 thousand rubles. This is stated in the message of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA), which was received by Izvestia on June 9.

The average premium for annual CTP policies for the first four months of this year amounted to 7,344 rubles, which is 5.3% lower than the average premium for compulsory motor insurance for the first four months of last year.

The number of contracts concluded during this period amounted to 15.2 million, of which 1.2 million were short-term. The total number of CTP contracts concluded increased by 14.7% compared to January-April 2024.

Despite the ongoing stabilization in the auto parts market, the average CTP payout continues to grow, said Evgeny Ufimtsev, head of the RSA. In April of this year, it increased by 28% compared to April last year and reached 113.2 thousand rubles. At the same time, insurers manage to contain the growth of the average premium (it decreased by 3.9% in April to 6968 rubles), he said.

Ufimtsev also pointed out that in January-April in such regions as the Republic of Dagestan, the Chechen Republic and the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, a significant increase in the number of CTP contracts was recorded, which indicates "positive dynamics and possible improvements in the situation in these regions."

On June 6, it was reported that the Republic of Ingushetia took the first place in the rating in terms of the frequency of insurance claims for CTP over the past year. The Republic of Dagestan is in second place, and Primorsky Krai closes the top three. At the same time, the average frequency of insurance claims for CTP in Russia is 4.5%.
