The Kiev regime does not want to admit military losses, as this causes a serious psychological blow to society and destroys the illusion built by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. This was stated to Izvestia on June 7 by Russian Senator Andrei Klimov, commenting on the refusal of Ukrainian representatives to appear at the place of the exchange of prisoners of war and the transfer of the bodies of the dead.

"Admitting that so many people were lost by the Kiev regime during its adventures is, of course, a very serious blow. Until now, Zelensky continues to believe that the total losses <...>, he gives different figures, but from what I hear quite often, it's 40 thousand people. And at the same time, to receive such a death toll is, of course, a shock," Klimov said.

Everyone also understands, he continued, that the number of bodies being transferred is far from all dead, someone has not yet been found, someone is in a gray area.

According to the senator, the money that Kiev promised to pay for the dead also plays a role, but not a decisive one. In addition to money, this is also a big psychological blow to the entire Ukrainian society, Klimov added.

"In Kiev, they considered it more expensive for themselves if they received these bodies, which actually speaks to the satanic nature. People's lives are being played the way a demon usually does. It's all very sad," the senator concluded.

On the same day, Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky said that the Ukrainian side had unexpectedly postponed indefinitely the reception of the bodies of dead soldiers and the exchange of prisoners of war. He also called on Ukraine to comply with the agreed schedule and fulfill all the agreements that were reached at the second round of negotiations in Istanbul.
