The Moscow City Court upheld the verdict of Vladimir Soshalsky Jr. This was reported to Izvestia on March 5 in the press service of the instance.
He was found guilty under Parts 3 and 4 of Articles 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal sale of narcotic drugs on a large scale").
Last December, the Ostankino District Court Moscow sentenced Soshalsky Jr. was sentenced to 11 years in a high-security penal colony in a drug case.
He was arrested on a large-scale drug trafficking case on July 29. The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the capital reported that he tried to escape, but was stopped by law enforcement officers. During the search, three bags of drugs with a total weight of 2.78 g were seized from the man.
Vladimir Soshalsky is a Soviet and Russian actor. He is familiar to the audience from the films Academician Ivan Pavlov (1949) and Lomonosov (1955). The artist died in 2007.
