- More defendants may appear in the child trafficking case of Loginova, a mother with many children
Other defendants may appear in the criminal case of Yulia Loginova, a mother of many children, on child trafficking, in which 19 people have been brought to justice. This was reported on February 8 by TASS with reference to the case file.
It is noted that the investigation is complicated because of the secrecy between the participants of criminal activity, as well as the need for a large volume of investigative and procedural actions. According to the materials, to establish all the circumstances of the incident appointed more than 100 examinations.
According to the agency, the investigators have already held confrontations between the new defendants and a minor girl, who is a witness in the case.
At the moment, most of the defendants are banned from communicating with each other. In the near future, they will face final charges. As for unidentified persons - the case will be allocated to a separate proceeding.
Loginova was detained in October 2023 after receiving information from the hospital about the detection in the blood of one of the children raised by her of a drug banned for use in his disease. Later it turned out that the woman had 15 children in her care, but it was found that due to an operation she had undergone in 2010, the woman was unable to give birth.
After a genetic examination and a check of the children's registration, which revealed the fact that Loginova had provided false documents, a criminal case was opened under part 3 of article 127.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Human trafficking committed against minors known to the perpetrator to be in a helpless state, with the use of false documents"). In addition, a case was opened against Loginova for intentional infliction of harm to health (Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Also in October, Loginova's accomplice, 44-year-old Natalia Patoka, who also had 15 dependent children, was detained. She was the creator of a shelter for mothers in difficult life circumstances. The children were registered in Loginova's name.
On August 15, the court indicted Patoka's spouse, and on August 25, Victoria Ponomoreva became another defendant in the case.
