The governor-in-chief reported the destruction of seven drones over the Rostov region

Seven unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have been destroyed over three districts of Rostov Region. This was reported on Friday, January 24, by Yuri Slyusar, the acting governor of the Rostov region.

"This night in the north of the Rostov region seven UAVs were destroyed: in Millerovsky, Tarasovsky and Sholokhovsky districts," he informed in his Telegram-channel.

According to him, there are no casualties, deaths and destruction on the ground.

Earlier, on January 21, acting governor Yuri Slyusar said that in the Rostov region air defense forces eliminated three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). He emphasized, according to preliminary information, there are no casualties.

On this day, the Defense Ministry reported that air defense means intercepted nine Ukrainian drones over the territory of Rostov region in 45 minutes.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
