AFU serviceman told about good detention in Russian captivity
Captured Ukrainian Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) soldier Volodymyr Dmysh has spoken about the good detention in Russian captivity. The video was distributed by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 23.
"From the military enlistment center they sent a summons and took us away. We went on rotation and dug trenches," he shared.
According to him, at the end of 2024, the command informed the military that the regiment was being disbanded and they were being transferred to another unit. He was transferred together with his fellow servicemen to the city of Sumy - a district bordering the Kursk region.
The military man surrendered on his own.
"I threw away my automatic rifle and surrendered. When I was taken, no one took offense. They fed me at once, made me drunk. They let me rest, sleep," - said Dmish.
Earlier, on January 22, the captured Ukrainian soldier Yevhen Hnibeda said that the citizens of the country are mobilized by all possible means, although none of the men want to participate in hostilities. In addition, he noted the poor training of the AFU military before being sent to the front, due to which, in his opinion, the Ukrainian army suffers heavy losses of manpower.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
