Air defense forces destroyed eight Ukrainian UAVs in an hour over Crimea
Air defense forces have destroyed eight Ukrainian drones over the territory of Crimea. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on January 18.
"From 20:00 to 21:00 Moscow time on duty air defense means destroyed eight Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of the Republic of Crimea", - stated in a message in the Telegram-channel of the Department.
Shortly before that, the Defense Ministry said that Russian air defense means destroyed three Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea and Crimea. The attempted attack was foiled between 19:00 and 20:00 Moscow time.
On the morning of January 18, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense forces destroyed 46 Ukrainian drones overnight over six Russian regions. Thus, 18 drones were eliminated over the Bryansk region, 11 - over the Kursk region, seven - over the Kaluga region, five - over the Tula region, three - over the Belgorod region and two - over the Voronezh region.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
