- The governor of the Tula region reported the elimination of five UAVs over the region
Air defense and electronic warfare (EW) forces have eliminated five unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the Tula region. This was reported by the governor of the region Dmitry Milyaev on January 18.
"On-duty air defense forces and REB means in the Tula region destroyed five UAVs," Milyaev said in a message in his Telegram channel.
He also specified that there is a danger of a repeated UAV strike in the region. According to the governor, the situation is under control.
Earlier in the day, the governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, reported that air defense and REB forces had eliminated several drones over the region. Gusev specified that, tentatively, no one was injured as a result of the attack.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
