In Mari El, a 13-year-old teenager had his hand torn off by a firecracker explosion

In Gornomariysky district of Mari El, a 13-year-old teenager had his hand torn off when a firecracker exploded. This was reported on January 4 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Republic.

Investigators organized a check after the teenager was injured under part 1 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Sale of goods that do not meet safety requirements").

"According to preliminary data, on January 3, the minor in the apartment <...> lit a firecracker, from the cotton of which he received injuries in the form of amputation of the right hand, eye burns, with which he was hospitalized", - stated in the message published in the Telegram-channel of the department.

All the circumstances of the incident are currently being established.
