Russians are planning to celebrate the New Year noisily: in December, the demand for pyrotechnic products was higher by 11% than a year earlier, according to data available to Izvestia analytical center "Check Index" company "Platform OFD".
The average check for pyrotechnics in December amounted to Br1.4 thousand. This is slightly higher than a year earlier, when it was less by 12%. Especially popular are salutes and fireworks for 10-20 volleys, sparklers in a box of 10-20 pieces, firecrackers in boxes of 40-60 pieces.
At the same time in the fall sales of New Year's pyrotechnics were 6% lower than last year's level.
- The decrease in sales of clappers, fireworks and other pyrotechnic products this fall was observed in the trend of a general decline in sales of New Year's paraphernalia - due to the warm autumn and late snow cover in the central part of the country - experts pointed out. - This created the effect of pent-up demand for a later period and led to an increase in sales in December.
The growth of sales was also recorded by marketplaces. For example, on Wildberries sales are 150% higher this year. Regional practice allows us to conclude that the use of pyrotechnics contrary to the prohibitions can threaten responsibility for petty hooliganism and violation of the requirements for observance of silence at night, the lawyer added. In such cases, the fine may reach several thousand rubles.

If the use of pyrotechnics damages someone else's property, a citizen may face a prison term of up to a year. If it is a question of causing serious harm to health or death, a person can be imprisoned for up to seven years.
What are the dangers of fireworks
Improper use of pyrotechnics can lead to burns, doctors reminded Izvestia. The degree of tissue damage depends on the temperature and duration of exposure to the damaging factor, said Sergei Khripkov, a surgeon at the SberZdorovye medical company.
When receiving a burn, he said, first of all, it is necessary to assess the degree of damage. With a superficial affected only the upper layer of the skin - the epidermis, and the damaged area will be red, and when pressing will appear painful and pale. In this case, the burn site should be cooled with tap water at room temperature for at least 10-15 minutes, and then it is necessary to apply a remedy with dexpanthenol and apply a sterile bandage.
