The Ministry of Defense spoke about the importance of the liberation of Novotroitskoye and Petrovsky

The capture of the settlements of Novotroitskoye and Petrovskoye in the DPR creates conditions for the further advance of Russian troops. This was announced on October 11 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The military department said that during the liberation of these settlements, assault groups of motorized rifle formations of the Center group of forces acted covertly, used deceptive maneuvers and misled the enemy. The drone operators hit the identified targets, supporting the assault groups' offensive, TASS said.

In addition, in order to quickly advance to populated areas, the aircraft attacked the strongholds of the Ukrainian military located in the forest belts on the approaches to Novotroitsk and Petrovsky. The Defense Ministry noted that the liberation of these points made it possible to improve the tactical situation and lay the foundation for a further offensive deep into the enemy's defenses in this direction.

The enemy is losing the last settlements where the defense was prepared in advance

On the same day, the Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian Armed Forces had liberated the settlements of Novotroitskoye and Petrovskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Reznikovo and Kupino in the Kharkiv region. The ministry noted that the units of the North group of forces are compressing the encirclement ring in the Kharkiv region, as well as expanding the external control zone.
