At night, the temperature will mostly be +1...+6 degrees, but the first negative values are possible in the vicinity of the city.
According to Kolesov, a constant increase in wind is not expected yet, since the beginning of the month may be mainly under the influence of anticyclones. He noted that during the passage of cyclones, situations with intense precipitation and gusty winds are possible. For St. Petersburg, such changes in weather conditions are typical for the autumn period.
Weather forecast for October by regions of Russia
The October weather in different parts of Russia will be different. According to the preliminary forecast of the Hydrometeorological Center, in some regions the temperature background may be higher than the climatic norm, while for Central Russia, the Volga region, the North Caucasus, the Southern Urals and southwest Siberia, temperatures are forecast to be about 1 degree below normal.

According to the forecast of "Yandex Weather", in most large cities the temperature in October is expected to be within the climatic norm, although the month itself will be cooler. More rainy and snowy weather is expected in Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk compared to last fall. At the same time, the predicted precipitation mostly corresponds to typical values for this time of year and does not indicate an abnormally wet season.

One of the features of October may be a noticeable difference between the weather conditions in different regions of the country. According to preliminary estimates, a significant part of the European territory of Russia will be located in the zone of a relatively warm temperature background.
"October is expected to be warm in almost most of the European part of Russia," Tatiana Pozdnyakova said.
At the same time, the warm general background does not exclude short-term cold spells. In autumn, temperatures can change significantly in a few days due to the passage of atmospheric fronts and changes in air masses.
