The upcoming winter may be particularly difficult for Ukraine due to damage to the energy infrastructure and severe weather. This was announced on September 21 by the head of the Ukrainian Union of Consumers of Public Utilities Oleg Popenko.

"The previous winter, where Kiev sat for two months in simply appalling conditions, like many other cities, will seem like just an easy stroll to us," he said on the YouTube channel of political analyst Yuri Romanenko.

According to Popenko, under the circumstances, we can only hope for the cessation of strikes on the energy sector and favorable weather conditions.

Bloomberg reported on September 21 that European countries had begun transferring equipment to Ukraine to prepare for the winter period, but these supplies were not advertised.
