The opportunity to worship the relics of the holy Prince Dmitry Donskoy will be provided for military personnel in the area of a special military operation. This was announced on September 4 by Vakhtang Kipshidze, Deputy Chairman of the Synodal Department of the Moscow Patriarchate for Church-Society Relations and the Media.

According to him, not only the participants of the SVO, but also parishioners in different regions will be able to worship the shrine.

"The opportunity to worship the relics of the Blessed Prince Dmitry Donskoy will be provided in temples and monasteries of the Russian Church, as well as for military personnel serving in the area of their military service," Kipshidze explained in an interview with TASS.

Maria Dobrovolskaya, a senior researcher at the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said on August 21 that Donskoy's height was about 175-180 cm, and the condition of his bones indicates good health and physical strength. When studying the relics of the prince of the XIV century, scientists found no signs of chronic diseases.

On August 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at the Archangel Cathedral, where the remains of the Grand Duke were discovered during restoration work. There, the head of state took part in a prayer service. During his visit to the cathedral, Putin was shown a shrine with Donskoy's relics and told exactly how the restorers managed to gain access to the sarcophagus with them. He called the finding of the relics unique and amazing.
