Russia will not forget the "bloody act" of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Starobilsk and will seek justice. This was announced on August 25 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"Of course, we will never forget and will seek justice in connection with Zelensky's bloody terrorist attack in Starobilsk," he said at a press conference following talks with Vatican Secretary for International Affairs Paul Richard Gallagher.

According to the minister, Kiev continues to demonstrate brutality by attacking civilian targets. Lavrov noted that as a result of one of the recent attacks in the Krasnodar Territory, Adygea and Dagestan, children were killed.

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry also touched upon the situation of the Russian language, education, media and culture in Ukraine. He said that Russia is counting on the attention of the Vatican to these issues during contacts with the Ukrainian side.

On May 22, Ukrainian militants attacked the academic building and the dormitory of the Starobilsk College. A criminal case was opened into the attack under Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). 21 people were killed in the attack, and 65 others were injured. The names of all the victims of the terrorist attack have been established.

On June 29, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Yana Lantratova, informed Russian President Vladimir Putin about the response of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to the appeal on the terrorist attack. On May 28, the Ombudsman stated that the call to investigate the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks on Starobilsk and bring the perpetrators to justice, addressed by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk, is fundamentally important.
