The air defense forces destroyed about 10 drones and missiles in the Rostov region overnight.

In the Rostov region, about 10 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and missiles were destroyed in three areas during the repulse of an air attack by air defense systems. This was announced on August 15 by the governor of the region, Yuri Slyusar.

"At night, during the repulse of an air attack on the Rostov region, about a dozen UAVs and missiles were destroyed in three areas: Chertkovsky, Millerovsky and Verkhnedonsky," the Telegram channel said.

According to him, there was no information about the victims.

It is specified that in the Millerovsky district between the hamlets of Khmyzov and Zakosnov, as a result of damage to power lines, power supply was disrupted. About a thousand residents of seven farms were left without electricity.

Emergency services specialists have been sent to the scene, Slyusar added.

Civilians were killed in a number of areas, residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged.

On August 14, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 221 drones in the skies over the regions of Russia during the day. It was clarified that the drones were neutralized over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Orel and Tula regions, over the territory of the Moscow region, Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Crimea, as well as over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
