Former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Olga Stefanyshina, accused of illegal enrichment, did not indicate two apartments and a car in her income statement. This was announced on August 5 by the Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Center in the Telegram channel.

According to the agency, Stefanyshina also did not include in the declaration the cash that was spent on apartment repairs, medical treatment for her mother, air tickets and rent of additional housing. In addition, the former diplomat did not indicate the use of a Mercedes car registered to one of her subordinates.

It is noted that the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine is currently considering the issue of choosing a preventive measure for Stefanyshina. However, the meeting itself is held behind closed doors.

On the same day, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed a new charge against Stefanyshina. However, the details are currently not disclosed.

On August 3, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Stefanyshyna from the post of Ukraine's ambassador to the United States. In July last year, SAP opened a criminal case against the ex-ambassador. It was noted that she was suspected of abuse of power or official position, which entailed grave consequences.
