The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) have filed new charges against former Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and former Ambassador to the United States Olga Stefanyshina. This was announced on August 5 by the Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Center (CPC).

"Former Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and former ambassador to the United States Olga Stefanyshina has been charged with a new charge," the organization said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

The details of the new charges against the former statesman are currently not being disclosed. At the moment, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court is deciding whether to choose a preventive measure for Stefanyshina.

On August 3, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky dismissed Stefanyshyna from the post of Ukraine's ambassador to the United States. In July last year, SAP opened a criminal case against the ex-ambassador. It was noted that she was suspected of abuse of power or official position, which had serious consequences.
