Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces told about the unexpected liberation of Yurchenkovo for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The military personnel of the North group of forces told how they penetrated into the village of Yurchenkovo in the Kharkiv region in dispersed groups, using poor visibility for covert maneuvers. On August 5, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed footage of the liberation of the village.

"We acted in small groups: twos, threes. They entered the enemy's strongholds, entered from the flanks, from the rear, and accumulated forces. As soon as the command was given, all our accumulated forces launched an assault at the same time, thereby putting the enemy to flight, catching him off guard and wreaking havoc. As a result, the enemy suffered losses and began an emergency retreat, and the settlement was taken," said the commander of the assault platoon with the call sign Pturist.

Aerial reconnaissance was conducted continuously: operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) opened fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), firing positions and ammunition depots, after which strikes were carried out on the detected targets. Artillery crews provided fire support to the advancing infantry, and the Orlan-10 unmanned systems were engaged in refueling shells, adjusting fire and evaluating the effectiveness of hitting targets.

During the inspection of the enemy's positions, the Russian fighters seized a significant amount of abandoned weapons, ammunition and military equipment, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not have time to take with them during the retreat. The liberation of Yurchenkovo has improved security along the Russian border.

The North group of forces continues offensive operations in several directions at once, expanding the safe space in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions.

On June 30, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that units of Russian troops had established control over four settlements in the area of the special operation. It is noted that units of the North group of forces have established control over the settlements of Yurchenkovo, Kharkiv region, Mogrica and Malaya Slobodka, Sumy region.
